About this product

Pine oil is a clear pale-yellow oil with a characteristic pine odour, graded by its total alcohol (TA) content — we stock all three commercial grades, 22%, 32% and 42% TA, at our Redhills, Chennai warehouse. Buyers use it as the base raw material for white phenyl and disinfectant fluids, in floor-cleaner formulations, and as a flotation frother in mineral processing. We supply in 200/220 kg MS drums and dispatch across South India, as we have since 1997.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do 22, 32 and 42 mean in pine oil grades?

The numbers are Total Alcohol Content (TA) — 22%, 32% or 42% w/w. That alcohol fraction is predominantly terpineol, so a higher grade carries more terpene alcohols. All three are commercial grades, and we stock each one.

What is the CAS number and HSN code of pine oil?

Pine oil's CAS number is 8002-09-3 and its HSN code is 3805 90 30. Both apply across the 22%, 32% and 42% TA grades we supply.

What is pine oil used for in industry?

Pine oil is the base raw material for white phenyl and disinfectant fluid manufacturing, and goes into floor-cleaner formulations. In mineral processing it works as a flotation frother.

What is the specification of commercial-grade pine oil?

Typical values: clear pale-yellow oily liquid with characteristic pine odour, specific gravity 0.910–0.940 at 30 °C, refractive index 1.475–1.485 at 30 °C, minimum 90% v/v distillation up to 220 °C, and clear miscibility in alcohol. These are typical commercial-grade figures — pine oil has no single published numeric standard. Full TDS and MSDS are available for this product.
