Is sodium bromate the same as sodium bromide or potassium bromate?
No — these are three different salts, and the names must not be swapped on orders, COAs or safety documents. Sodium bromate is NaBrO3, CAS 7789-38-0, the oxidising salt we supply. Sodium bromide is a different material — it is the salt blended with sodium bromate in gold leaching, not an alternative to it. Potassium bromate is KBrO3, CAS 7758-01-2 — a separate substance with its own registration, its own regulatory entry and its own safety documentation. Do not read either salt's classification across to the other in either direction; work from the SDS for the material you are actually buying.
