Thinner Solvent Supplier Chennai — Industrial Grade Blending Solvents

Both. We supply a finished thinner in General Purpose / NC and Commercial grades, sourced from Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL), in 200 L drums and tins as UN 1263. Thinner is a blend, not a single chemical, so the slate is best read by boiling point. Lowest first: acetone 56.05°C; MEK 79.6°C; IPA 82.5°C; toluene 110.6°C; mixed xylene 137–144°C; MTO 145–210°C. Purities run 99.5% min (GC) for acetone, MEK and toluene, 99.7% min (GC) for IPA, and ≥ 98.5% xylene isomers + ethylbenzene for mixed xylene. The ester and glycol-ether solvents sit alongside them: ethyl acetate 99.80% w/w min, butyl acetate 99.5 % w/w min n-Butyl Acetate, butyl cellosolve 99.0% wt min and butyl carbitol 99.0 % wt min Butyl Diglycol Ether. Several, but the exceptions are what catch people out. Ethyl acetate is bulk tanker only — dedicated cleaned tankers, roughly 20 MT loads — so there is no drum option. MEK and MTO run the other way: 200L MS barrel and 1000L IBC tank, with no tanker. MIBK is 160 kg HDPE/MS drums only, and the finished CPCL thinner ships in 200 L drums and tins.
